Which podcasts are AI-generated? The shows we keep out of the Verbatim library

The Verbatim Excluded Shows Register, from The Art of Service, lists podcasts kept out of the Verbatim library because their episodes are machine-made, not spoken by people doing the work. A show is listed only after a person has reviewed it; a screening score alone never puts a show here. The register is free and updates as shows are reviewed. Gerard Blokdyk, founder of The Art of Service, reviews every entry.

Updated

The Excluded Shows Register

Only shows a person has reviewed and judged machine-made. Read live from the library each time this page loads.

No show has been excluded yet. 6 shows flagged by the screen are waiting for review and held out of Advisory briefs until then. Flags are never published as verdicts.

Screened: 930 shows. Kept after review: 1. Excluded after review: 0.

episodes made for about a dollar each
“By automating the podcast production process with AI, from market research to idea generation to scripts to voices, they'd reduce the price to make an episode to a dollar or less, and the time to under an hour.”

Framework

The Provenance Ledger

It shows how each retelling of a claim fades like a nested speech mark, beside one solid quote tied to the second it was said.

Each layer of summary is fainter than the last; the solid quote mark is the moment you can play.

How does Verbatim decide a show is machine-made?

After every daily refresh, every show is scored on six signals: no speaker introduced by name, few named operators, date-only episode titles, a daily cadence with no named guests, one brand running several look-alike shows, and formulaic titles. Flagged shows are held out of Advisory briefs and wait for review. A person then listens and decides. Only that verdict puts a show on this register and removes it from search, alerts, the API and MCP. A show can ask for a second look by writing to support@theartofservice.com.

Frequently asked questions

Which podcasts are AI-generated?

The Verbatim Excluded Shows Register lists the shows a person has reviewed and judged machine-made, with the date of the review. It covers shows that reached the Verbatim library, not every podcast published. If the table is short, that is because only reviewed shows are listed, never suspicions.

How does Verbatim decide a show is machine-made?

Every show is screened after each daily refresh on six signals, such as no named speakers and date-only episode titles. The screen only flags. A person reviews every flagged show and makes the call, and only that verdict lists a show on the Verbatim Excluded Shows Register.

Do AI-generated podcasts reach AI search answers?

They can, because AI tools index podcast pages and transcripts like any other web content. Verbatim keeps reviewed machine-made shows out of its own library, so they never reach Verbatim search, alerts, briefs, or the API and MCP that Verbatim Team customers connect to their own AI.

Can I report a show?

Yes. Use the form on this page with the show name and why you suspect it. Reports go to the same review queue as the screen's flags. A reported show is listed on the Verbatim Excluded Shows Register only if the review agrees, and you are not named anywhere.

Is the register free?

Yes. The Verbatim Excluded Shows Register is free to read with no sign-up. It sits beside Verbatim Free, the Monday brief on three topics, and Verbatim Pro at USD 29 a month. The screen behind it applies to every Verbatim plan.

Evidence you can play back

Every moment in Verbatim links to the second a person said it.
