The Teardown Table

It shows how one offer is laid on the bench and evidence from the library is pinned to each of its edges.

The Teardown TableIt shows how one offer is laid on the bench and evidence from the library is pinned to each of its edges. Offer: One thing the founder already sells, laid on the bench. Pain matched: A buyer pain the offer already solves, played at the second. Recipe: A delivery recipe that worked for someone, with its numbers. Lane: A new lane the same offer could serve. Next move: What to do first, with the evidence attached.Offer: One thing the founder already sells, laid on the benchOfferOne thing the founder alreadysells, laid on the benchPain matched: A buyer pain the offer already solves, played at the secondPain matchedA buyer pain the offer alreadysolves, played at the secondRecipe: A delivery recipe that worked for someone, with its numbersRecipeA delivery recipe that worked forsomeone, with its numbersLane: A new lane the same offer could serveLaneA new lane the same offer couldserveNext move: What to do first, with the evidence attachedNext moveWhat to do first, with theevidence attachedThe Teardown TableIt shows how one offer is laid on the bench and evidence from the library is pinned to each of its edges. What happens in a live teardown?

  1. One volunteer founder names the offers they sell. The teardown works from real offers, never a made-up example.
  2. Each offer is read against the Verbatim library on screen. For every offer, the session looks for a buyer pain it already solves (Signal A), a delivery recipe that worked with numbers (Signal B), a new lane (Opportunity) and a traffic recipe (Signal T). Every moment is played from the second it was said.
  3. The founder leaves with a next move for each offer, and viewers see how a Verbatim Advisory is put together before deciding whether to order one.

The session is free and online. We do not promise a fixed day, a host or a recording. Dates are emailed to people who register their interest.

How do I volunteer my business for a teardown?

Choose "Volunteer my business for a teardown" on the form below, add your website and a line on what you sell. The teardown suits founders, consultants, coaches, agencies and advisers who sell a defined set of offers, because the match works offer by offer.

One business is torn down per session, so not every volunteer is picked and we do not promise a slot. If you would rather not have your offers read in front of other people, or you want the full version now, Verbatim Advisory One brief does the same work privately for USD 497. It is delivered within two business days, read by a person before it is sent, and every quote links to the second it was said. A full, unedited sample, written for Verbatim itself, is at /advisory/sample.

Frequently asked questions

Who gets torn down?

One volunteer founder per session. We look for a business with a defined set of offers, because the Verbatim teardown matches evidence offer by offer. Founders, consultants, coaches, agencies and advisers fit best. Volunteers apply on the register form on this page, and the business chosen for each session hears from us by email before the date.

Can I volunteer?

Yes. Choose "Volunteer my business for a teardown" on the form, add your website and what you sell. One business is read per session, so we do not promise every volunteer a slot. If you are not picked, or want it done privately, Verbatim Advisory One brief covers your offers for USD 497 within two business days.

Is it recorded?

We do not promise a recording. The Verbatim Live Teardown is a live online session, and the dates are emailed to people who register their interest. The moments it draws on stay in the library: Verbatim Free lets you search the last 7 days and play every quote at the second for USD 0, and the sample Advisory is free to read.

What is the One brief?
